Ingredients:

  • egg – 1 pc.
  • milk – 225 ml
  • flour – 2 cups
  • sugar – 2/3 cup (two thirds)
  • soda – 0.5 tsp.
  • baking powder – 0.5 tsp.
  • cinnamon – 1 tsp.
  • orange – 1 pc.
  • water – 1 glass
  • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp.

Preparation:

Pour slightly warmed milk into a bowl, add one yolk and half the sugar. Beat the contents with a mixer or whisk. After whipping we get a fluffy mass. Add flour mixed with baking powder to the egg-milk mixture. Mix the dough.

Add ground cinnamon and slaked soda.

Add separately beaten egg white and gently fold it into the dough. To make the dough fluffier, stir in the egg whites using an up and down motion with a spoon. The result is a very soft and airy mass.

Lastly, add refined vegetable oil and mix again.

Cut the orange into rings. Pour a glass of water into the pan and add the remaining sugar. Stirring, bring the syrup to a boil. Add orange rings and simmer for about 10 minutes. After this, we take out the oranges and save the syrup in which they were boiled.

Place the caramelized orange rings on the bottom of the multi-cooker bowl, having previously greased it with vegetable oil.

Pour all the batter over the oranges. Turn on the “baking” program for 45 minutes.

Half an hour after the multicooker starts operating, open the lid and pour the remaining syrup from the pan over the pie. You will see how the liquid is instantly absorbed into the sponge cake.

We keep the pie at the same operating mode of the multicooker for another 15 minutes, after which we turn off the unit and open its lid. Let the pie cool. After about an hour, the cake can be removed from the bowl.

Moist, juicy orange cinnamon cake is ready. Bon appetit!!!

  7. We remove the oranges from the sweet syrup, cool, and then place them on the bottom of a heat-resistant container covered with parchment (in our example, we use a round baking dish with a diameter of 22 cm).
  8. Pour the citruses into the viscous dough, periodically turning the mold so that the mixture is distributed evenly. Place the container in a hot oven at 180 degrees. Bake the pie with orange zest and citrus slices for about half an hour. Check readiness with a dry toothpick.
  9. Freshly baked aromatic pastries, cool slightly, cover with a plate and turn over. Remove the baking paper.

Charlotte pie with oranges.

Recipe Charlotte pie with oranges in a slow cooker. How romantic this sounds. Have you eaten this? Let's taste it?

To prepare such a delicious dish, we look at what products we have in stock. We buy the missing products in the store.

We will need the following products:

4-5 eggs;
2 cups sugar;
2 cups of flour;
2 oranges
1 tsp baking powder (you can do without it)

What equipment will we need?

  • Fine grater;
  • Deep bowl for preparing dough;
  • Sharp knife;
  • Whisk or mixer;
  • Strainer (fine) for sifting flour;
  • Multicooker

Begin:

Remove the zest from the oranges with a fine grater and save it. we will still need it. Peel the oranges and cut into slices. Cut the slices into 2-3 parts.

Beat the eggs with a mixer, continue beating and add sugar until the sugar dissolves.

Sift the flour with baking powder, add to the eggs and mix gently with a spatula (whisk or mixer) from bottom to top.

Add orange zest and slices.

Lightly grease the multicooker mold with vegetable oil (bottom and walls).
Place the dough in the pan, close the lid, lower the steam valve, press the “Bake” mode, set the timer for 55 minutes.

A moment of attention:

All multicookers vary in power. In the same mode, your multicooker can heat up to a higher or, conversely, lower temperature compared to the multicooker of the author of the recipe. You know your “multi” better, so adjust the cooking modes and times.

The standard time for my multicooker in the “Bake” mode is 35 minutes. But there is an option using the (+) button to add up to 20 minutes, i.e. in total it takes 55 minutes - the ideal time for baking charlotte.

After the slow cooker has finished baking, lift the steam valve and release the steam. And only then, when all the steam has come out, open the lid, take out the mold, cover it with a dish and turn it over so that the charlotte gently falls out of the mold.

Let the baked goods cool. You can sprinkle the top with powdered sugar and colorful sprinkles.

We invite guests and treat them.

Now it won’t be difficult for you to prepare a charlotte pie with oranges in a slow cooker using this recipe.

Bon appetit!
