Druzhba porridge is often cooked in milk with pumpkin or raisins, which can be replaced with dried fruits if desired.

Very often, rice and buckwheat porridge in water is prepared with mushrooms or meat (low-fat minced meat).

Cooking method:

1. Soak the washed raisins for a quarter of an hour. Wash, dry and cut in half.

2. Pour the sorted rice and corn grits into a deep bowl. Fill with specially chilled water and leave for one hour, then rinse well. It is more convenient to do this in a sieve. Water will drain through it, and the small cells will not allow a single grain to slip out. Leave the washed cereals on the sieve for a while and place a bowl under it so that excess liquid drains into it.

3. Place the dried rice with corn grits into a cooking bowl, add raisins and pour cold milk. Add sugar, mix thoroughly and add a little salt.

4. Cut the butter into small pieces and spread evenly on top.

5. Cook the porridge with the lid on using the “Grains” option. Set the timer for 40 minutes. This is enough for the dish to steam well and become crumbly.
